We are committed to preparing individual learners for success in life by providing meaningful experiences in a safe and caring environment. To enhance and broaden PCR-3's character education efforts, Platte City Middle School launched the CharacterStrong program in our building beginning with the 2020-21 school year.

  • PurpleUp! for Military Kids! 
    April is the month of the Military Child. Help us turn PCR3 PURPLE on April 15 as a visual way to show our support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices.
  • Summer School for Current 8th Graders Going into High School
    PCHS Summer School Enrollment will open at 8am on Friday, April 16. Incoming PCHS Freshmen are allowed to take one course for a 1⁄2 credit. The following courses are available to incoming Freshmen: Physical Education (in-person), Health (virtual), Business Tech I (virtual), and Theater Arts (virtual). Classes do fill up, and there is a limit to the number of students per course. Parents will be emailed a link to sign up on Friday, April 16 at 8am. Click here to see the PCHS Summer School infographic for additional information.
  • 4th Quarter Dodgeball Tournament - Sponsored by STUCO
    • Wed, Apr 21 from 1-2:30pm (PLC Day)
    • $5 per player entry fee
    • Sign-up/permission form is attached

  • Tuesday, April 20 is a REMOTE LEARNING day for all students due to our employee second-round vaccination clinic.   
  • PCMS Yearbook deadline has been extended to Wednesday, April 21. This is a firm deadline, so order your yearbook today! You can ORDER HERE using the Yearbook ID Code: 5014521 or pick up an order form in the office.
  • Middle School Cheer Tryouts for current 7th-grade students is coming soon! 

    • Clinics: Mon, Apr 26 - Thurs, Apr 28, 5:30-7pm
    • Tryouts: Thurs, Apr 29, 3:30pm

  • Note from the Nurse to 8th Students/Parents/Guardians
    If your student is now over the age of 11, they can receive their Meningococcal (MCV) vaccine and their Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, both of which are required for his/her 8th-grade year per Missouri State Law. We are trying to collect these before the end of this school year, so Fall Registration will go more smoothly. ***Updated immunization records may be brought to the Health Room at school, faxed to 816.858.3748, or emailed to bundrig@platteco.k12.mo.us.***
