My name is Jamie Carver and I love teaching 6th grade ELA! I attended Northwest Missouri State University and earned both my undergrad and master's degrees there. I started teaching in 1999 and have been working in the Platte County School District since 2012.

I grew up in a rural community in Iowa with my five younger siblings. Going camping and playing sports was a big part of your lives. We enjoy our annual trip to Minnesota every August where we spend time fishing, skiing, and tubing.

My family moved to Platte City in 2010. We love it! My son Ethan graduated from PCHS in 2019. I also have three older stepchildren, four granddaughters, and one grandson. We love spending time at the lake and cheering on the Royals, Chiefs, Iowa Hawkeyes, Jayhawks, Bearcats, and of course the Pirates! I  enjoy reading, going on walks, and baking. I also enjoy being an active member of the PCMS PTO and the PCHS Booster Club.

I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
