Welcome to our choirs at PCMS!  You're joining our music family and the strong singing tradition in Platte County.  Let's make this an exciting year!

Mr. Schofer holds a Bachelors (1990) and a Masters (1995) Degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University. GO BEARCATS!

In 1991, Mr. Schofer began teaching in Humboldt, IA.  In 1993, he moved to Kansas where he taught in Winfield, Maize, Andover and Lansing school districts. The choir families with "Papa Schof" consistently earned Superior ratings at league music festivals, Kansas State Music Festivals, Superior and Best in Class ratings at American Classic Festivals in Breckenridge, CO and San Antonio, TX. Their superior efforts earned them an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2008. In 2009, Mr. Schofer was honored with The Golden Apple Award from Andover High School and was the recipient of the NEKMEA Outstanding Choir Director – Middle School in 2019. Mr. Schofer is an active vocal judge and choir clinician.  He is a member of NAfME, ACDA/MCDA and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
