Hello! My name is Ashley Robertson, and I am thrilled to begin my first year as a 6th Grade Science teacher at Platte City Middle School! I am incredibly excited to start this new chapter and can't wait to share my passion for science with your child.
Before joining the middle school team, I spent the past 10 years teaching 5th grade, with 5 of those years at Barry Elementary right here in the Platte County School District. I have loved being part of the Pirate family and am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our amazing community.
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. My oldest son, Clayton, subs within our district while attending college to earn his teaching degree. My son Carson proudly serves in the United States Army and is currently stationed at Fort Drum, New York. My son Caiden serves in the United States Air Force and is stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base. My youngest and only daughter, Adilynn, will be a senior at Platte County High School this year.
In addition to teaching, I stay busy coaching athletics. I am an assistant track and field coach at Platte County High School and am excited to begin my first year as the head volleyball coach at Platte City Middle School.
I am truly thankful to be not only a Platte County Pirate, but also your child's teacher. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel challenged, supported, and excited to learn. I look forward to watching each student grow academically and personally throughout the school year.
